Come From Away

Come From Away is playing at Zach Theater in Austin for a run that starts Sunday, September 20. It's a Tony Award-winning musical by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, directed by Tony winner Christopher Ashley, and it's based on a true story that's hard to believe if you haven't heard it: after 9/11, 7,000 airline passengers were stranded in a tiny town in Newfoundland, and the locals who welcomed them took them in with open arms.
