Flamingo Cantina is hosting the CHHK School Supply Drive Showcase on Saturday, August 29, starting at 9 PM. It's a community-minded school supply drive that pairs a collection drive with a few hours of live music, all under one roof on East 6th.
The night is hosted by Evita, with DJ AbstractAMCR on the decks. The music runs alongside the drive, so you can hang out and listen while you drop off your donations. The drive is gathering pens, binders, notebooks, and backpacks for local students in need, and the showcase is the occasion to get them in one place.
Getting in is straightforward if you bring something to give: entry is free with a school-supply donation of at least $5 value. Pens, binders, notebooks, and backpacks are exactly what they're looking for, so a few packs of pens or a couple of notebooks will do the trick. If you're coming without a donation, there's a $5 cover for anyone 21 and over.
