Live honky-tonk two-step music night featuring Cactus Lee, Cory Cross, Brandon Good and Elijah Wyatt at The White Horse, with a dance lesson from Double or Nothing Two-Step.
Cactus Lee, Cory Cross, Brandon Good, and Elijah Wyatt are all playing The White Horse in East Austin on Saturday, July 25. It's a long night of music that runs from 7:30 PM until 1 AM, with the four of them splitting the bill across the evening.
Cactus Lee kicks things off and holds down the longest stretch, playing from 7:30 PM to 1 AM. Cory Cross takes over from 8 PM to 9:45 PM, and Brandon Good and Elijah Wyatt follow with a set from 10 PM to 11:45 PM. If you're coming early, there's a two-step lesson at the start of the night run by Double or Nothing Two-Step, the Austin dance school that's been teaching since 2020.
The whole night is built around Austin honky-tonk two-step, a regional Texas style that developed on the city's packed dance floors. It starts slow and blends swing-dance turns into a compact frame that fits a crowded room. The White Horse is a local favorite for East Austin energy, and it stands as a contrast to the Broken Spoke, Austin's most legendary honky tonk, which has been open since 1964 and is a true Texas institution.
