Bleachers, led by Jack Antonoff, perform live on the Austin City Limits stage for a taping that will air as part of the show's 52nd season on KLRU.
Bleachers play ACL Live at The Moody Theater on Sunday, October 11, for a taping of Austin City Limits that'll air as part of the show's 52nd season on KLRU. It's their first time on the ACL stage, and the set is being recorded for the series, so you'll be part of the audience for the broadcast.
Bleachers is led by Jack Antonoff, who's spent the last decade building a sound that pulls from a few different places at once: shimmering pop-soul, harmony-laden folk-rock, and that sax-assisted New Jersey sound that's become the band's signature. They're touring their fifth studio album, everyone for ten minutes, which Antonoff describes as essentially optimistic. The live show has always been the center of the project, and this taping keeps that front and center.
Antonoff's path to this stage started as a teenager in small-town New Jersey, gigging in VFW halls, anarchist bookstores, and small clubsโhe estimates around 250 shows a year back then. The band emerged in 2014 and has grown from those intimate club dates to headlining Madison Square Garden, and this appearance marks their first time on Austin City Limits.
