Treehouse Empire headlines the BEST OF INDIE matinee at The Aristocrat Lounge today, Saturday, August 8. It's an all-ages indie bill, so you can bring the kids along if that's your afternoon. Treehouse Empire takes the top spot, with Weird Perks and Fake Beach filling out the rest of the lineup.
If you're not familiar with the venue, The Aristocrat Lounge is a neighborhood bar on Burnet Road that's opened up for day drinking on the weekends. Doors open at 1 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, and it runs from 5 PM through to 2 AM on weekdays. This being a matinee, it's one of those Saturday afternoon things that gets you home while there's still light out.
The music starts at 4 PM, with Treehouse Empire as the main feature. Weird Perks and Fake Beach round out the bill, so you'll get three indie acts in one go. It's an all-ages show, which means it's open to everyone from the youngest fans to the regulars.
