Adult ballet fitness and technique workshop series held at Ballet Austin's Butler Center for Dance & Fitness.
Ballet Austin is running a Ballet Allegros Workshop this summer, a series of adult classes held at the Butler Center for Dance & Fitness downtown. It's a focused session that runs every Monday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, starting July 20 and continuing through August 24.
The workshop centers on allegros—the jumps and small, brisk movements that give ballet its lightness and lift. If you've danced before and want to get your jumps back in shape, or if you're just looking for a way to keep moving during the summer, this is a good place to start. It's a half-hour class, so it's a quick way to get some work in without taking up your whole morning.
Because it's a series rather than a one-off, you'll be back in the studio every Monday for five weeks. That's enough time to actually feel the difference in your jumps rather than just getting through a single session. It's designed for adults, so you'll be in a room with people in the same boat, not a class of children.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Austin and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

The workshop takes place at the Butler Center for Dance & Fitness, 501 West 3rd Street, right in the heart of downtown Austin. The cost is $82 for the series, and since it runs from July 20 to August 24, you'll be there on Monday mornings from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
