Bal'Head & The Hi-Top Fades Plus Mother Mary Wanna's Reggae Dance Party!

Bal'Head & The Hi-Top Fades are playing Flamingo Cantina on Saturday, August 1, for a reggae dance party that also features Mother Mary Wanna. The music starts at 9 PM.

It's known as the area's home for reggae, dub and ska, bringing in acts from around here and from far-flung locales with a tropical vibe straight from Jamaica. It's closing in on its quarter-century mark, and the funk mini-amphitheater space inside offers a laid-back alternative to the surrounding 'Dirty Sixth' scene. The venue also hosts live-music residencies, including the Mau Mau Chaplains.
