A patriotic tradition featuring a parade, resource fair and Veterans Day ceremony to honour those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The Austin Veterans Parade returns to Congress Avenue on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 9 AM to 12 PM. It's one of Austin's longest-running patriotic traditions, held every year to honor the men and women who've served in the United States Armed Forces and to bring the community together.
The morning unfolds in three parts. The parade itself steps off from the Congress Avenue bridge and heads north toward the Texas Capitol. Once the procession reaches the Capitol, the focus shifts to the South steps, where a Veterans Resource Fair is set up for anyone looking for services and support. Following the fair, a Veterans Day Ceremony takes place on those same steps. If you're planning to stay for the whole thing, the South steps of the Texas Capitol are at 1100 Congress Avenue, 78701.
This year's edition runs under the theme 'Veterans Helping Veterans and Their Families,' which puts the focus on the support network veterans build for each other and their families. It's a good way to see the community side of the day, beyond just the parade itself.
