Annual tattoo convention featuring over 350 artists, live interviews, podcasts, and on-site painting demonstrations.
The Austin Tattoo Invitational returns to the Palmer Events Center from September 4 to 6, 2026. It's an annual convention started by Donal and Ed, and the way they run it is a bit different from your typical tattoo show: invitations go only to artists of exceptional skill and reputation. They frame it as a curated experience for collectors, artists, and enthusiasts who appreciate high-level craftsmanship, and they're calling the 2026 edition their biggest and best version yet.
Inside, you'll find more than 350 artists working live. Beyond the ink, there are contests and on-site painting demonstrations throughout the weekend. Dakota Weik of Inked Abroad will be hosting live interviews, podcasts, and artist spotlights all three days, so you can hear from the people behind the work while you're there.

The convention runs Friday, September 4, from 2 PM to 10:30 PM; Saturday, September 5, from 11 AM to 10:30 PM; and Sunday, September 6, from 11 AM to 8 PM. You'll find it at the Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd, in Austin.
