Major League Soccer match between Austin FC and San Jose Earthquakes at Q2 Stadium.
Austin FC returns to Q2 Stadium on Saturday, September 5, to take on the San Jose Earthquakes. It's their first home match after a road stretch that spanned both the Leagues Cup and MLS play, and they're looking to put together a second consecutive win.
If the last couple of meetings are any indication, the home side has the upper hand here. Austin took down San Jose 4-3 at Q2 Stadium in 2024 and followed it up with a 3-1 home win in 2025. Both were high-scoring affairs, and Austin has come out on top each time they've hosted them.
San Jose arrives in town coming off a 0-0 draw against Houston Dynamo. Before that, they'd dropped four straight, and they're currently sitting fourth in the Western Conference. They've actually fared better on the road this season, so they're not exactly walking into a trap. Their attack is led by Preston Judd, who's found the net 11 times, and former German international Timo Werner, with six goals to his name.
