A two-day celebration of Irish, Scottish and Celtic heritage with live music, Highland games, step dancing, storytelling and workshops at a historic living history park.
The Austin Celtic Festival returns to Jourdan-Bachman Pioneer Farms on November 7 and 8, 2026, from 12 PM to 6 PM each day. It's a two-day celebration of Irish, Scottish, and Celtic heritage put on by the Austin Celtic Association, which bills it as the largest gathering of Celts in Central Texas.
The music is the center of it: four stages of Irish, Scottish, and Breton music and dance, with storytelling and workshops mixed in. You'll find Highland games and step dancing alongside the bands, and around 40 exhibitors set up across the grounds. It's a full day of Celtic culture rather than just a few sets on a single stage, so you can drift between the music, the sports, and the vendors.
The venue is a big part of the experience. Jourdan-Bachman Pioneer Farms is a 95-acre living history park that preserves homesteads from different eras of Texan evolution, keeping alive the skills and crafts modern Texas was built on. They run classes in blacksmithing, preserving, and wood stove cookery, so the festival takes place in a setting that's as much about Texas history as the event is about Celtic heritage.
