Fifth edition of the Austin Blues Festival featuring legendary artists and emerging talent at the Moody Amphitheater, with local food vendors and kids' crafts.
The Austin Blues Festival returns to the Moody Amphitheater on May 1 and 2, 2027, for its fifth anniversary. It's a two-day weekend of live performances, and this year marks five years since it first started. The festival is held at the Moody Amphitheater and the Waterloo Greenway grounds, at 1401 Trinity St, Austin, TX 78701.
The festival's whole point is to bring together legendary artists, emerging talent, and fan experiences in the live capital of the South. It's not just one stage, either. Alongside the main stage, the Little Legends Blues Club runs throughout the weekend with kids' crafts, and a lineup of local food vendors will be on site. If you're bringing the family, that's where the kids' activities are concentrated.
To get a sense of the kind of acts the festival goes for, look at who's played in the past. Previous editions have featured an eclectic mix, with names like Jimmie Vaughan & Friends, Parliament Funkadelic fronted by George Clinton, Eric Johnson, and Chaparelle. It's that range—from established blues names to funk and guitar virtuosos—that defines the festival's approach. The 2027 edition carries on that same tradition, with the main stage as the center of the weekend.

It's a full weekend, May 1 and 2, at the Moody Amphitheater and the surrounding Waterloo Greenway grounds. The Little Legends Blues Club and the local food vendors run alongside the music, so there's plenty to do between sets.
