...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead are playing The Far Out Lounge & Stage on Friday, September 25, with Houses We Die In, Duel and Late Wife. It's a hometown show for the headliners, an Austin art-rock outfit known for explosive live sets, sprawling arrangements and a blend of alternative, post-hardcore and experimental rock that doesn't fit neatly into one box. They've remained one of the city's most influential bands over the years, and this is a chance to see them on their own turf.

Sharing the bill are three other acts that cover a fair bit of ground. Houses We Die In is a dark, atmospheric project that sits somewhere between post-punk, shoegaze and modern alternative rock. Duel is an Austin heavy-psych act built on fuzz-heavy guitars, psychedelic atmospheres and hard-driving riffs. Late Wife are marking the release of their new single, also called Late Wife, with a special hometown performance.

Between the four, you've got a night that moves from the atmospheric and the psychedelic to the heavy and the art-rock. It's a full bill, so it's worth arriving early if you want to catch everyone. The show starts at 6 PM at The Far Out Lounge & Stage.
