Amy's Ice Cream is teaming up with the LBJ Presidential Library on Wednesday, August 12, for a night that's exactly as simple as it sounds: free scoops of ice cream while supplies last. It's part of the Library's 'Summer Evenings' series, which is built around the idea of spending a summer night exploring the collections and exhibits at your own pace. The Library brings the history and Amy's brings the ice cream, a pairing they're billing as 'the perfect Austin summer evening.'

If you've never been, the LBJ Library is the museum dedicated to Lyndon Baines Johnson, the 36th U.S. president. The collections and exhibits cover his life and presidency, so you can spend as much or as little time as you want walking through the galleries. The ice cream is the bonus that comes with it.

The evening runs from 5 PM to 9 PM, with the last visitor admitted at 8 PM. The free scoop is available while supplies last, so if you're set on getting one, it's worth arriving on the earlier side.
