A full day of beer, food, music, shopping, and stein-hoisting competitions at Live Oak Brewing, featuring the Austin Flea and family-friendly activities.
Live Oak Brewing Company is hosting its 29th Annual Oaktoberfest Party on Saturday, September 19, from 11 AM to 10 PM. It's the brewery's long-running autumn celebration, built around beer, food, music, shopping and German-inspired festivities. The day is open to all ages and gathers around the biergarten.
Live Oak has been brewing craft lagers and ales in Austin since 1997. The brewery sits on 22 acres between Downtown and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and features an 18-hole disc golf course alongside a rotation of food trucks. Oaktoberfest is their annual fall tradition, and this year marks the 29th edition.
The day is built around a few distinct activities. In the biergarten, Austin Polka provides the music. There are stein-hoisting competitions for those who want to test their strength, and a bounce house for families. The Austin Flea also sets up, bringing together local makers, artists and vintage vendors for shopping. Between the beer, the food trucks, and the flea market, there's plenty to do whether you're there for the whole day or just dropping in for a few hours.
