A spectacle-filled musical adapted from Sara Gruen's bestselling novel, following a young man who finds a new home with a travelling circus crew.
Water for Elephants comes to the Fox Theatre from February 2 to February 7, 2027, presented by Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta. It's a musical adaptation of Sara Gruen's bestselling novel, with a book by three-time Tony nominee Rick Elice and a score by the PigPen Theatre Co., staged by Tony Award nominee Jessica Stone. The story follows a young man who, after losing what matters most, jumps a moving train and finds a new home with the crew of a traveling circus.
On stage, the show blends live performance, music, and visual storytelling with dynamic set design. Each tour stop adapts to its venue while keeping the production's immersive style, and the Atlanta run is part of the Fox Theatre's 45th anniversary season. Critics have called it "the best new musical on Broadway" and "stunning, emotional, heart-filled and gorgeously imaginative."
