Grammy Award winner Chip Davis brings his Mannheim Steamroller Christmas show with 15 musicians and multimedia effects.
Mannheim Steamroller Christmas comes to the Fox Theatre on Saturday, November 14, 2026. It's a Grammy Award-winning show composed by Chip Davis, and it's been one of the country's holiday traditions for more than 40 years. On stage, 15 musicians play more than 20 instruments, and the performance is staged with multimedia effects in an immersive yet intimate setting.
To understand the sound, you have to go back to 1974, when Davis founded the group. He built its following on instrumental arrangements of Christmas music that blend classical, new age, and light electronic elements. That signature sound helped define modern holiday music for millions of listeners, and the group has released numerous best-selling Christmas albums over the decades, ranking among the best-selling Christmas artists of all time.
The live show brings those arrangements to the stage with a full ensemble rather than a studio recording. With 15 musicians handling over 20 instruments, the performance is a live realization of the sound Davis has been refining since the seventies. The multimedia effects are built into the staging, and the Fox Theatre hosts it as a primarily cashless event, with cash accepted at merchandise stands only.
