Annual Halloween event at the Children's Museum of Atlanta with indoor trick-or-treating, carnival games, a circus performance and science activities.
Trick-Or-Treat at the Museum returns to the Children's Museum of Atlanta on Saturday, October 24, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. It's the museum's annual Halloween celebration, and for those two hours on a Saturday evening, the whole place turns into a giant indoor candy trail with treat stations at every exhibit. If you're looking for a way to do Halloween without the usual neighborhood trek, this is a good one to have on the calendar.
Beyond the candy, there's a fair amount to do. The Art Studio hosts fall-festival carnival games—ring toss, cornhole, and duck fishing—and the Science Bar has Frankenstein Sensory Boxes and skeleton puzzles. There's also a prize booth to hit. The main event is a circus performance on the CMA Stage at 6:30 PM, right in the middle of the window, so you can work your way through the exhibits and then settle in for the show.
It's worth keeping in mind that this is a separate ticketed event, not part of a regular museum visit. Tickets are $10 for members and $25 for non-members, and prices go up during the week of the event, so it pays to grab yours early. The museum is at 275 Centennial Olympic Park Dr NW, right in downtown Atlanta.

If you're staying in the city through the end of the month, there's more coming. From October 26 to November 3, the museum runs a DĂa de los Muertos celebration, which features an interactive altar on the CMA Stage created by local artist Natasha McDowell. Between the two, it's a couple of weeks of Halloween and autumn activities in one spot.
