A live tribute to Marvin Gaye with a soul music band performing his most beloved songs in an intimate venue.
The Jazz Room is bringing a live tribute to Marvin Gaye to Wild Heaven West End on Friday, December 11, at 7 PM. It's a night built around Gaye's voice—the silky, hypnotic vocals and emotional depth that made him one of the most iconic names in soul. A live band and powerhouse vocalists take on his most beloved songs, and the show is staged as much a celebration as a performance, with low lighting and immersive sound.
The setlist pulls from the songs that defined him. You'll hear "Let's Get It On," "I Heard It Through The Grapevine," "Sexual Healing," "What's Going On?" and "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)." It's a run of songs that spans the different sides of his career, from the smooth, late-night soul to the more socially conscious work of the early seventies.
The venue is The Garden Club at Wild Heaven West End, a 600-capacity craft brewery and music venue in Atlanta's Historic West End. It's an industrial-chic room with a 22' x 14' stage, and seating is first-come, first-served across different zones, so if you have a preference for where you sit, you'll want to get there early. The show runs about an hour, which keeps it tight—just the songs and the music without stretching it out.
