Taper's Choice

Taper's Choice play The Earl on Tuesday, October 27, with the show starting at 7:30 PM. Doors open at 7:00 PM, so there's a half-hour window to get in and find your spot before they take the stage. The Earl is at 488 Flat Shoals Avenue Southeast in Atlanta, GA 30316.

If you're not familiar with the name, Taper's Choice is a project that lives up to its title. The name points to the taping culture surrounding jam bands and improvisational music, where fans record shows and trade tapes, and the setlists often change from night to night. That's the spirit they bring to the stage: a focus on the live moment and a set that doesn't just repeat the same sequence every time they play. It's the kind of show where you're as likely to hear something new as you are to hear a song they've played before.

Coming to The Earl on a Tuesday night, this is a mid-week date in the city's East Atlanta neighborhood. The Earl is a staple of the local scene, known for its dance floor and for hosting a wide range of acts, from touring national bands to local favorites. Taper's Choice fits right into that mix, and playing on a Tuesday means you can catch them without having to work around a weekend crowd.

So, if you're in the mood for a night of live music in the middle of the week, Taper's Choice is at The Earl on Tuesday, October 27. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the show starts at 7:30 PM.
