The a cappella group Straight No Chaser performs their holiday music on their Making Spirits Bright Tour at the Fox Theatre.
Straight No Chaser are playing the Fox Theatre on Tuesday, December 22, as part of their Making Spirits Bright Tour. It's a nine-person a cappella group that's been doing holiday music for more than two decades, and this stop in Atlanta is one of the dates on their winter run.
If you've followed them, you know the holiday albums are the core of what they do. They've put out a long string of them over the years: Holiday Spirits in 2008, Christmas Cheers in 2009, Under the Influence: Holiday Edition in 2013, I'll Have Another...Christmas Album in 2016, Social Christmasing in 2020, Stocking Stuffer in 2023, and Holiday Road. That's seven holiday records in fifteen years, so they've got plenty of material to pull from for a single night.
On stage, the lineup is Walter Chase, Jerome Collins, Seggie Isho, Michael Luginbill, Steve Morgan, Luke Bob Robinson, Jasper Smith, Tyler Trepp, and Freedom Young. Between them, they've reached their 25th anniversary, and they've stepped beyond the holiday circuit to do dozens of major television performances and collaborate with Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, and Stevie Wonder. The Atlanta show is part of the Making Spirits Bright Tour, which takes their a cappella sound on the road for the season.
