Halloween 5K, one-mile fun run and mini festival with costumes, a costume contest, food trucks and trick-or-treating for kids and dogs, benefitting LifeLine Animal Project.
Spooky Pooch takes over Grant Park on Saturday, October 24, as LifeLine Animal Project's inaugural Halloween tradition. It's a morning of costumes, community, and Halloween fun that doubles as a fundraiser for the organization, which works to keep pets and families together and saves the lives of thousands of homeless animals across Atlanta.
The day is built for everyone, whether you're racing for a new personal best, showing off a dog's costume, or just coming for the atmosphere. Costumes are encouraged for humans and four-legged friends alike. The timed 5K is for ages 8 and over, and a one-mile fun run is open to all ages. If you can't make it to the park, there's a virtual participation option. Finishers receive a medal, and registered dogs get a bandana and a mini medal.
After the runs, the post-race village gathers local pet-friendly favorites and food trucks, with music, entertainment, a costume contest, and trick-or-treating for kids and dogs. The timed 5K starts at 8:30 AM, and the mini festival stays open from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Last year's edition sold out.
