30-minute sound bath with crystal singing bowls on the CODA rooftop, as a quiet lunch break for CODA tenants and Georgia Tech students and faculty.
CODA is hosting a Sound Bath on its rooftop on Wednesday, October 28, from 12:15 to 12:45 PM. It's a half-hour session, and the whole thing is built around crystal singing bowls. If you've never been to one, the idea is simple: you just sit or lie down and listen to the bowls being played, and that's it. There's no meditation experience required, so you don't need to know anything about mindfulness or breathwork to get into it. You can bring a yoga mat to lie on, or just find a comfortable spot to sit.
The timing is the point here. It's scheduled right in the middle of the day, from 12:15 to 12:45 PM, so it's meant as a quieter lunch break rather than a full-blown afternoon activity. Half an hour is just enough to step away from your screen, reset, and get back to whatever you were doing without losing your whole afternoon to it. The crystal singing bowls provide the sound, and the rooftop setting gives you a bit of air and a view of the city while you're at it.

There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you head up. The session is open to CODA tenants and Georgia Tech students and faculty based in the building, and you'll need to RSVP to get a spot. If you're in that group, it's a low-stakes way to spend a lunch break. The sound bath runs on Wednesday, October 28, from 12:15 to 12:45 PM at the CODA Rooftop, 756 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308.
