The Savannah Bananas play two games of their fast-paced Banana Ball against the Loco Beach Coconuts at Truist Park.
The Savannah Bananas are coming to Truist Park on June 10 and 11, 2027, for two games of Banana Ball against the Loco Beach Coconuts. If you've never seen them, the Bananas are a fan-first independent baseball team founded in Savannah, Georgia, in 2016. They spent seven seasons in the Coastal Plain League, a summer collegiate league, before leaving in 2022 to play Banana Ball year-round. Their whole thing is built around the mantra 'Fans First. Entertain Always.'
Banana Ball is a fast-paced version of baseball with 11 unique rules designed to keep the action moving and the crowd on their feet. It's less about the traditional pace of the game and more about the spectacle: costume-wearing athletes, players on stilts, TikTok dances, trick plays, and audience participation. The league now has six teams across the United States, and the 2027 season marks the first time they're playing in Mexico and Canada, with 74 cities on the tour including Monterrey, Tijuana, Toronto, and Winnipeg. There's also a documentary coming to Disney+ and Hulu that chronicles the league's ten-year journey.
