Casual coeducational pool volleyball session for beginners held on Saturdays in Midtown.
Pool Volleyball is happening at Society in Midtown this Saturday, October 17, from 3 PM to 6 PM. It's a casual, coed session, so it's as much about hanging out as it is about the game.
If you've never played pool volleyball before, the setup is pretty straightforward: it's volleyball played in a pool, which changes the physics a bit. You're not jumping for spikes hereβyou're moving through water, so the pace is slower and the focus is more on keeping the ball in the air than on power. It's a coed game, and the session is open to all skill levels, so you don't need to be a pro to join in.
One of the best things about this particular session is that there's practice for beginners. If you've never played or you're a bit rusty, you can get some pointers and get comfortable with the basics before jumping into a full game. It's a low-pressure way to get into it without feeling like you're holding up the court.

Between the games, the afternoon is rounded out with music from Tan and Seltzer. The whole thing runs from 3 PM to 6 PM at Society in Midtown, so you've got a good window to play a few rounds and still have your evening ahead of you.
