Newton: ESports Tournament (PS5)

Newton: ESports Tournament (PS5) takes over the 3N - Fieldhouse on Monday, October 19, from 12 PM to 3 PM. It's a console tournament built around the PlayStation 5, so if you've spent your recent free time on a PS5, this is exactly the kind of thing you'll want to have on your radar.

Two groups are putting this together: the POUNCE Rewards Program and Recreational Services. Having them both on board gives you a good sense of how it's set up — it's a coordinated effort between a rewards program and the campus recreation side of things, rather than just a casual meetup. The whole thing is centered on the PS5, so the competition stays on one platform throughout the day.

Since it's a tournament, the format is competitive: you'll be playing against other entrants rather than just hanging out. It runs for three hours, from noon until 3 PM, so you can get in, play your matches, and be out by mid-afternoon. If you're used to gaming at home, it's a different feel to do it in a room full of other people, with the matches happening back-to-back.

It all goes down at the 3N - Fieldhouse in Atlanta on Monday, October 19, from 12 PM to 3 PM.
