Free outdoor screening of 'Coco' on the lawn at Uptown Atlanta, the final screening of the monthly Movies on the Lawn series.
Movies on the Lawn returns to Uptown Atlanta on Thursday, November 5, for the final screening of the season. It's the close of a series that's run on the first Thursday of every month through the summer and fall, and this one is a family night: Coco (PG) is the feature, billed as an endearing family treasure, with a handful of giveaways for the kids to go along with it.
The setup is exactly what the name suggests. The screenings take place on the lawn at Uptown, 500 Lindbergh Drive Northeast, and the nights are built for lawn chairs and blankets. There are surprises along the way and food and beverage specials from the venue's dining experiences, so it's the kind of evening that works as well for a date as it does for a family outing. If you're bringing the kids, the Coco choice makes it an easy one to build a night around.

One thing to keep in mind: rain can cancel a screening, so it's worth checking the venue's website before you head out. The movie starts at 7 PM, and the screenings are free. Parking at the Garson Parking Deck next to the lawn is $5 for the whole evening with a validation sticker from the concession stand.
