40th anniversary screening of the 1986 cult-classic film Little Shop of Horrors, hosted by original Audrey Ellen Greene.
Atlanta Symphony Hall is screening Little Shop of Horrors on Friday, November 13, to mark the 40th anniversary of the film. It's a full screening of the 1986 cult-classic sci-fi musical comedy directed by Frank Oz, and it's hosted by Ellen Greene, who originated the role of Audrey in the original stage production and later played her on screen.
If you're not familiar with the story, it follows Seymour Krelborn, a nerdy florist who cultivates a man-eating, blood-thirsty plant named Audrey II. The plant brings him fame and fortune, but at a steep price. It's a dark comedy that's managed to keep its cult status for four decades, and seeing it on a big screen with a crowd is a different experience than watching it at home. There's no orchestral component to the night—just the film as it was made.
Having Ellen Greene there is the real draw. She's the only person who played Audrey in both the original stage show and the movie, so she's lived with the character across two different versions of the same story. She'll be hosting the evening, which means you'll get her perspective on the film and the role she helped define. For those who want a bit more, there's a VIP meet-and-greet add-on that comes with some of the best seats in the house, a photo with Greene, and signed memorabilia.

The screening is Friday, November 13, at 8 PM, with doors opening at 7 PM. If you're planning to go, keep in mind it's a full screening of the movie, and the VIP option is separate from the standard ticket.
