Colony Square shows select sporting events on a jumbo screen in The Plaza, with complimentary viewing and open seating.
Game Day On The Square is back at Colony Square this weekend, with sporting events shown on a jumbo screen in The Plaza. It's part of a series that runs through October, with games on Thursday the 8th, Saturday the 10th, Sunday the 11th, Saturday the 17th, and Sunday the 18th. If you're looking for a spot to watch the action with a crowd, this is one of the easier ways to do it in Midtown.
Colony Square calls The Plaza "Midtown's Living Room," and that's a fair description of how it works. The jumbo screen is out in the open, and seating is first-come, first-served, so you'll want to arrive early if you're hoping for a good spot. They encourage you to bring your own tailgate chairs and blankets to stay comfortable, which is a good call since you're sitting outside. It's complimentary viewing—no tickets required—so you can just show up and find a place to settle in.
It's one of the venue's recurring programs, and it runs alongside a few other Colony Square fixtures you might recognize: Groovin' On The Square for live music, Brews In The Sky for beer tastings, and family-friendly events like Colony Kids On The Square and Scare On The Square. If you're already around for one of those, this is an easy addition to the weekend.

Before you head out, there are a couple of rules to keep in mind. No outside food, beverages, or coolers are allowed, and you can't bring in glassware. There are onsite restaurants available if you want to eat or drink while you watch. The schedule is subject to change, so it's worth checking the lineup before you make your way over. The next dates are Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, both at The Plaza in Colony Square, Midtown Atlanta.
