The Eque Collective's first gathering, with four local DJs spinning house and indie house and a live painting performance by Konfeta.
Eque Collective is holding its first gathering this Friday, October 23, at The Garden Club, inside the Wild Heaven West End Brewery & Gardens. It's the group's debut night, and they've built it around music, movement, creativity and connection.
Four local DJs — Caroline Arnich, Laurent, Rom Hakim and Rhannya — are taking the floor throughout the night, each bringing their own sound and energy. The music stays in house and indie house, so it's a dance floor rather than a listening room. While the DJs keep things moving, Konfeta will be painting live, capturing the energy, movement and emotions of the room in real time and turning the night into a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
The venue is The Garden Club, which sits inside the Wild Heaven West End Brewery & Gardens at 1010 White Street. It holds over 500 people, and the stage has hosted acts like Big Boi, King Yellowman, Mike Doughty and Cedric Burnside. Freshly brewed Wild Heaven beers, like Emergency Drinking Beer and Sunburst IPA, are served at the bar.
