Free DJ set by producer and engineer Elio Stereo, a vinyl enthusiast of Proper Taste, at Patria Cocina.
Elio Stereo is taking over the decks at Patria Cocina on Sunday, October 18, as part of the venue's tardeada del Recuerdo. It's a DJ set from a producer and engineer who's spent a lot of time behind the boards as well as the booths, and the whole thing kicks off at 5 PM.
If you haven't crossed paths with him before, Elio Stereo is a Caracas-born, Miami-raised, Atlanta-based engineer, deejay, and producer. He's also a vinyl enthusiast at Proper Taste and the creator of everything DUPER®. His sound pulls from electronica, Latin, and soulful deep house, so it's a mix that can lean as much toward the dancefloor as it does toward the lounge, especially in a late-afternoon slot like this one.
He's played extended sets alongside a long list of names from the electronic scene: Martinez Bros, Seth Troxler, Hawtin, En Pure, Dear, Trent, Bonobo, Soulclap, Maclean, Pidcock, Monaco, Ceballos, Osunlade, Sharam, Urulu, Italoboyz, Moon Boots, and Tim Green. That's a lot of ground to cover—deep house, soulful cuts, and the more driving side of electronica—and it gives you a good sense of the range he works with.

It's a Sunday afternoon session, so it's as much about the vibe as the music. Admission is free, and it starts at 5 PM at Patria Cocina (also listed as Pata Negra Mezcaleria) in Atlanta.
