AIGA Atlanta's one-day conference bringing together designers, creative professionals, students and industry leaders for talks, workshops and networking.
Design Recess is AIGA Atlanta's new conference, a one-day gathering that brings together designers, creative professionals, students and industry leaders to learn from experts and connect with the city's creative community. It's happening Saturday, October 17, from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Goat Farm Arts Center, in Room B6 at 1200 Foster St NW.
The day is built around a few different tracks. There are case-study talks, where professionals walk through actual projects from start to finish, and hands-on play pathways for when you'd rather be doing than listening. Networking and creative exploration fill the gaps in between, so you're not just sitting in a chair for eight hours straight.
It's a broad tent, too. AIGA Atlanta describes it as a place for designers, creative professionals, students and industry leaders alike, so you'll find people at very different stages of their careers in the same room. If you're just starting out, it's a good way to get around the local scene; if you've been at it for years, it's a chance to see how other people are solving the same problems you run into every day.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Atlanta and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
