A Candlelight concert featuring music from Bach to The Beatles performed by the Listesso String Quartet in the historic Magnolia Hall.
Listeso String Quartet brings a Candlelight concert to Magnolia Hall on Thursday, October 15, 2026, as part of a nine-concert tour. The program, Bach to Beatles, pairs The Beatles with classical composers, with everything played by the quartet under the glow of flameless LED candles. It's a string quartet arrangement of songs and pieces from two very different eras, played side by side.
On the Beatles side, they'll play Eleanor Rigby, Strawberry Fields Forever, Let It Be, Hey Jude, and A Day In The Life. The classical half draws from Bach's Cello Suite No. 1, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, and Debussy's Clair de lune. The two sets run together throughout the hour, so you'll hear a Beatles track followed by a classical piece, and then back again.
Magnolia Hall is in the heart of Piedmont Park at 1320 Monroe Dr NE. It was built in 1945 as a blacksmith's forge and still has its original operational fireplace, exposed oak rafters, and Mission-style chandeliers. The room holds 225 people, and seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis within each zone. The venue is ADA compliant.
