18+ Broadway dance party where guests sing along to show tunes while dressed as their favourite musical theatre characters.
Broadway Rave comes to The Masquerade (Purgatory) on Saturday, November 21, starting at 9 PM. It's a Broadway dance party built around show tunes and musical theatre, and it's aimed squarely at musical theatre nerds, drama geeks, actors, actresses and theatre lovers. The format is simple: you sing along to your favorite Broadway hits while dressed up as your favorite characters. The night also promises surprise guests from some of the stars the crowd knows and loves.
It's described as the most popular Broadway dance party around, and it was created by Emo Night Brooklyn™, LLC. If you've spent any time in the city's theatre scene, you know the type of crowd this brings together—the kind of people who can quote a whole score from memory and aren't afraid to belt it out in a room full of people doing the same thing. The costume part is a big piece of the night, so coming as a character is part of the experience.
