Big Peach Social Run

Big Peach Ride and Run is starting up the Big Peach Social Run on Tuesday, October 20, and it's going to keep running every Tuesday through December 29. That's a good stretch of Tuesday nights to get your miles in, and since it's a social group run, you're not out there on your own.

One of the best things about this is that it's open to runners and walkers of all paces and abilities. You don't have to be training for a marathon or keeping a specific pace to fit in; there are various distances available, so you can pick the one that works for you. Whether you're just starting out or you've been running for years, you'll find your speed here.

It's hosted by Big Peach Ride and Run, a locally owned and operated retailer on Peachtree Street that serves Atlanta's community of cyclists, runners, and walkers with bikes, footwear, apparel, and accessories from leading manufacturers. They don't just sell the gear—they're the ones organizing the runs. And they've thought through the logistics: you'll have access to changing rooms, bathrooms, and water, and there's even a shower available after the run, which is a nice touch if you're heading straight back to work or home afterward.

Beyond the weekly Tuesday series, the shop also stages special, one-time-only group runs throughout the year, so this is just one way to get involved.
