Charity evening with a dinner by El Tesoro, live music by the CoResonance String Quartet and a meeting with AWARE's wild ambassador animals.
AWARE brings its Wild Night Out back to the Inman Park Trolley Barn on Thursday, October 22, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. It's a fundraiser for the organization's work rehabilitating injured and orphaned wild animals and promoting peaceful coexistence with wildlife, and every dollar raised goes toward that mission.
The main draw is the chance to meet AWARE's wild ambassador animals. They'll have owls, hawks, turtles, flying squirrels, and opossums on hand throughout the evening, so you can get a close look at the kinds of animals they work with. It's a rare opportunity to see these creatures up close in a setting where you can actually talk with the people who care for them.
Dinner is provided by El Tesoro, a neighborhood gem in Edgewood, and the music comes from Atlanta's CoResonance String Quartet, with AWARE's own Nan Kemberling on cello. They describe their sound as "the sound of elegance, with an edge," so the evening pairs a full meal with live strings. Between the food, the music, and the animals, there's plenty to keep you occupied over the two and a half hours.
