A community walk to raise awareness and funds for colon cancer at Shirley Clarke Franklin Park, organised by the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
The Atlanta Walk to End Colon Cancer is coming to Shirley Clarke Franklin Park on Saturday, October 17, from 8 AM to 12:30 PM. It's a community walk put on by the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, and the crowd brings together survivors, patients, caregivers, families, and supporters to raise awareness and funds to help end colorectal cancer.
There's a specific reason the Alliance puts this on: they point out that colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer overall, but it's highly preventable with timely screening and treatable when caught early. That's the core of what they're talking about hereβthe difference between finding it early and not. The funds raised at the walk go toward the organization's work in prevention, research, and patient support.
Every week we pick π the 5 best π things to do in Atlanta and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
