Holiday Game: Atlanta Hawks host the Detroit Pistons for a holiday-themed night of basketball.
The Atlanta Hawks host the Detroit Pistons at State Farm Arena on Wednesday, December 23, 2026. It's the annual Holiday Game, a night the Hawks set aside to pair a home matchup with the holiday season, so it's a bit more than just another mid-winter game on the schedule. The Pistons make the trip to Atlanta for the matchup, and the whole evening is built around that holiday theme.
Beyond the game itself, there's a free holiday giveaway for fans, courtesy of Georgia Natural Gas. It's one of those nights where the basketball is the main event, but the holiday framing adds a little something extra to the atmosphere. If you're planning to go, tickets are sold through Ticketmaster.

Tip-off is at 7 PM, and the doors open at 6 PM. If you're a season ticket member, you can get in even earlier, with doors opening for you at 5:45 PM. That gives you plenty of time to find your seats and settle in before the Pistons take the court.
