A CHaRM'ing Evening is Live Thrive's annual fundraiser featuring a private performance by Yacht Rock Revue, with food, drinks and a costume contest.
Yacht Rock Revue headlines The Stave Room on Thursday, October 22, for A CHaRM'ing Evening, the annual fundraiser put on by Live Thrive. It's a night that mixes live music, food, and drinks with a throwback theme, and all the proceeds go to the organization's sustainability education programs and the operations of CHaRM, the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials. If you've ever dropped off hard-to-recycle stuff in the city, that's the place this supports.
On the music side, Yacht Rock Revue is doing a special private performance built around the smooth sounds of the 1970s and 1980s. It's their whole thingโthe soft-rock, West Coast sound of that eraโand they're bringing it to the venue for the night. Between sets, there'll be hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine, and cocktails, and a costume contest where you can dress up in your favorite decade. If you're leaning into the yacht rock side of things, that's a pretty easy prompt to work with.
