Free weekend market of independent Scottish creative businesses with textiles, jewellery, ceramics and illustration at the Aberdeen Art Gallery.
Tea Green is back at Aberdeen Art Gallery on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November, returning as a fixture of the city's winter calendar. It's a curated market bringing together independent creative businesses, with a focus on textiles, jewellery, ceramics and illustration. If you've been before, you'll know the drill: a few days of shopping from high-end makers in the middle of the gallery.
Tea Green Events has been running since 2014 and has grown into one of Scotland's leading pop-up platforms, devoted to championing the country's independent creative talent. They work by curating Art, Craft & Design Markets in iconic venues, and over the last decade they've hosted hundreds of Scotland's most talented independent artists and designers. The Aberdeen Art Gallery edition has become a regular part of the city's winter, returning each year and described as a weekend of shopping with high-end makers in a 'totally gorgeous' setting.
What you'll find inside is a mix of independent creative businesses. The focus is on cosy textiles, jewellery, ceramics and illustration, so it's a good spot if you're looking for something handmade rather than off a shelf. Because it's curated, the stalls aren't just random; they're chosen to fit the Art, Craft & Design brief Tea Green works to.
