Model railway exhibition with layouts in various scales, traders and societies from across north-east Scotland, aimed at all ages.
The Aberdeen Model Railway Exhibition returns to Curl Aberdeen on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October, put on by the Aberdeen Model Railway Club. It's a two-day affair, with the Saturday running from 10:00 to 17:00 and the Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00.
Inside, you'll find model railway layouts in a range of scales and gauges, alongside new and second-hand traders and societies from across the north east of Scotland. It's aimed at all ages and interests, so it works as well for a family day out as it does for someone who spends their weekends tinkering with their own layout. There are refreshments available on the day, and the club has a sales and information stand if you want to find out more about what they do.
Getting there is straightforward: there's free on-site parking at the venue, and for those coming from the city centre, a free Heritage Bus shuttle runs from Union Terrace Gardens to Curl Aberdeen on both days. The bus is supplied by The Bus Collection at Alford, so you get to ride some of Aberdeen's heritage transport as part of the trip.
