The route takes you through some of the city's most atmospheric spots. You'll hear secrets from St Crux church, York Minster, Petergate and Swinegate, and you'll walk through The Shambles, King's Square, Bookbinders Alley and Stonegate. Along the way, the guide brings up figures like Mad Alice, John Wrightson, Mary Bateman and Margaret Clitheroe, and there's a stop at a pub where a famous conspirator once lived. It's an outdoor tour, so you'll want to dress for the weather.
