Wedding Open Day

The Milner York is holding a Wedding Open Day on Sunday 20 September, from 11:00 to 14:00. It's a free event, so you can just turn up and have a look around without needing to book anything in advance.

The whole point of the morning is to let you walk through the hotel's wedding spaces and get a proper feel for them. Instead of looking at photos online, you'll be standing in the actual rooms where the ceremony and reception would happen, which makes it a lot easier to picture how your own day might fit. The hotel's wedding coordinator will be on hand throughout, so if you've got specific questions about how things work or want to talk through a particular idea, they're there to answer them in person.

It's aimed at couples at both ends of the planning process. If you've only just got engaged and are still figuring out what you actually want, it's a low-pressure way to see what's possible. If you're already deep into the details and just need to see the space before you commit, it works for that too. The hotel describes it as a chance to help you build the wedding you're after, whether you're starting from scratch or putting the final touches on your plans.

If you're looking for something a bit different later in the year, there's also a Wedding Fayre on 22 November, which is a separate event where you can meet various wedding suppliers from across Yorkshire. That one is free to enter as well. Between the two, you've got the open day in September to see the venue itself and the fayre in November to sort out the suppliers. The open day runs from 11:00 to 14:00 on 20 September at The Milner York, and entry is free.
