Wedding fayre with wedding suppliers, canapés and bridal inspiration at The Milner York.
The Milner York is hosting a wedding fayre on Sunday 22 November, from 11am to 2pm, run by the Leeds-based team behind The UK Wedding Event. It's a free-entry morning, so you can wander through without having to commit to a ticket. The idea is straightforward: you get to see the hotel's wedding spaces and meet a selection of Yorkshire wedding suppliers in one go.
They've set the rooms up to show how they work in practice. The Crown room is styled as a ceremony space, while the Wedgewood and Oak rooms are arranged as a wedding breakfast setup, so you can get a feel for the flow of a full day. When you arrive, there's a free sparkling reception and canapés, and they're handing out free tote bags and bridal magazines to take home.
Behind the show is a Leeds-based family business specialising in event management and videography, run by the husband-and-wife team Rob and Emma. They spend their time scouting new venues for their events, and this is one of the smaller, more intimate shows they run at regional venues. It sits alongside their larger productions, like the flagship show at York Racecourse, which draws around 1,500 visitors and runs twice a year, and their bigger events at New Dock Hall at the Royal Armouries in Leeds and The Centenary Pavilion at Elland Road. They also do smaller ones at The Engine Shed in Wetherby and The Sun Pavilion in Harrogate.
