The Christmas Experience at The Web Adventure Park

The Christmas Experience is running at The Web Adventure Park on Wigginton Road, YO32 2RH, on the 28th and 29th of November and then from the 5th to the 24th of December. It's one of those all-day things that works well if you've got kids in tow, because the main event is just one part of the visit.

The core of it is the visit to Father Christmas in his log cabin, with real reindeer on hand. From there, you wander through the Toy Shop, the Twinkling Elf Tunnel and the Elf Library. That's the bit you book for a specific time slot, and it's the only part limited to that window. Once you're through, the rest of the park stays open all day, so you can hang around as long as you like.

And there's plenty to do while you're there. The Web Adventure Park is York's largest indoor play centre, with 23,000 sq. ft. of indoor activities and a 12-ride funfair that sparkles at dusk. There's an animal walk too, with ponies, Nigerian Dwarf goats, Valais sheep, degus and a pot-bellied pig, and resident performers like the magician Dazzling Darren. The Christmas Experience runs alongside the park's other festive events, Toddle Into Christmas and Baby Meets Santa, so if you've got very little ones, you can fit those in too.

It's a good shout for a full day out rather than a quick in-and-out. You've got the Santa visit, the indoor play area, the fairground and the animals all in one spot.
