SpeedQuizzing at The Three Legged Mare

SpeedQuizzing is running at The Three Legged Mare on Wednesday 26 August, part of their regular mid-week slot in the city. If you've never come across it, it's a bit different from your standard pen-and-paper pub quiz. Instead of scribbling answers on a sheet, you use a keypad to enter them, and the faster you get the right answer, the more points you pick up. It turns the whole thing into a bit of a race, so it's as much about how quickly you can think on your feet as what you actually know.

The session is hosted by Mike Brooke, who runs the night. It's a team affair, so you'll want to pull together a few mates and get your act together before you walk through the door. The faster you can agree on an answer and punch it in, the better your chances of climbing the leaderboard.

It's a weekly thing, so if you miss this one, you'll find them back in the same spot the following Wednesday. The Three Legged Mare is at 15 High Petergate, right in the heart of York, so it's an easy one to get to whether you're coming in from the city centre or just popping over from nearby. It starts at 8:00pm, which gives you plenty of time to grab a drink and settle in before the first round kicks off.

Entry is £2.00 per player, so it's a cheap one to get involved in. Just gather your team, head to High Petergate, and be ready to move fast.
