Speed quizzing night hosted by Dan Wyrill with bar tab prizes; £2 to play.
SpeedQuizzing is back at the Museum Street Tavern on Wednesday 26 August. It's a regular fixture here, running every Wednesday at 5:45pm, so if you've missed the last few, this is your next chance to get in on it.
If you haven't come across it before, it's a bit different from your standard pub quiz. Instead of scribbling answers on a piece of paper and handing them in at the end, you use a device to enter your answers as you go. It keeps the pace up and means you're not spending half the night waiting around for the results to be read back to you. The whole thing is hosted by Dan Wyrill, who keeps the night moving.
There are bar tab prizes up for grabs, so there's a bit more on the line than just bragging rights. It's a team game, and it's as much about how quickly you can get your answer in as it is about knowing the right one. If you're the type who usually knows the answer but takes a few minutes to double-check it, you'll want to sharpen up your reflexes for this one.

The Tavern is at 3 Museum Street, YO1 7DT, right in the heart of the city. It's £2 to play per person, and the night runs from 6:00pm to 11:00pm, so there's plenty of time for a few rounds and a drink before you head home. If you're looking for something to do on a Wednesday evening, this is a straightforward way to spend it.
