SpeedQuizzing at The Old White Swan

SpeedQuizzing is taking over The Old White Swan on Thursday 9 July, with the night hosted by Olly Salisbury. It's a pub quiz, but not the pen-and-paper kind you're used to. The whole thing runs on the SpeedQuizzing format, which swaps the notebooks for digital technology. Instead of scribbling answers on a scrap of paper and hoping your handwriting is legible, you use a device to send in your answers. It keeps the pace up and the energy high, with trivia and general knowledge questions coming at you in a fast-paced environment. If you've never done it before, it's a good way to see how your general knowledge holds up when you're working against the clock.

There's more on the line than just bragging rights, too. The night comes with food and drink voucher prizes for the winners, so it's a bit more than just a friendly battle of the wits. If you're going with a group, it's a decent excuse to get a few people together for a mid-week night out.
