SpeedQuizzing is at The Moxy tomorrow, Friday 10 July, for a night of fast-paced trivia in York. It's hosted by Melanie, who'll be running the show and calling the questions, so you'll know who to look to when the rounds get going.
If you've never done a speed quiz, the name gives it away: it's a quicker version of the pub quiz you're used to. Instead of huddling over a pen and paper for ten minutes, you're answering on the fly, which keeps the energy up and the gaps between rounds short. It's less about the long game and more about thinking on your feet, so it's a good one if you'd rather a brisk night than a slow burn.
There are prizes to be won, and bar prizes on top of that, so there's something to play for beyond just the bragging rights. You'll need to pull together a team, with a maximum of six players per group, which gives you plenty of room to cover different bases — one for the sport, one for the music, and someone who remembers the random bits of general knowledge that always seem to crop up when you least expect them.
