SpeedQuizzing at The Drawing Board Cafe Bar

SpeedQuizzing is coming to The Drawing Board Cafe Bar on Tuesday 18 August, and it's a bit different from your usual pub quiz. If you've never come across it, the 'speed' part is the whole point: instead of scribbling answers on a piece of paper and passing them back to the quizmaster, you enter them into a device. It's faster, there's no marking by hand, and the leaderboard updates in real time, so you know exactly where you stand throughout the night.

It's hosted by Phil Qua, who'll be running the show from start to finish. The format keeps things moving, with rounds that test your general knowledge and your reaction time as much as what you actually know. Because it's a team game, it works best if you bring a few mates along to split the load, though you can always find a group on the night if you're coming solo.

The Drawing Board Cafe Bar is at 10A New Street, right in the heart of York, so it's an easy spot to get to. The quiz runs from 8:30pm to 11:30pm, three hours of it, and it'll cost you £2.00 per player. With the start time on a Tuesday, it's a mid-week one rather than a weekend outing, so you'll want to get your team sorted in advance.
